Abstract AITranslate

Metasurfaces have been extensively studied for the manipulation of wavefronts based on spatial phase modulation. Here, a general method is proposed for generating multiband vector beam conversion using noninterleaved metasurfaces. A novel meta-atom with nested resonators is designed for achieving full 2π phase modulations at multiple frequencies. Independent phase modulations could be realized by adjusting the orientations of different resonators based on the Pancharatnam-Berry phase principle. As a proof of concept, a triband metasurface made of the proposed meta-atoms, which can generate an azimuthally polarized vector beam at 9.05 GHz, a radially polarized vector beam at 13.88 GHz, and a hybrid polarized vector beam at 17.82 GHz, is numerically investigated and experimentally verified.
