Digital Photopatterning: Designing Functional Multipolymeric Patterning Films AITranslate
Abstract AITranslate
This study proposes a practical patterning technique, digital photopatterning, using a commercial LCD 3D printer to integrate polymeric materials with distinct properties. A parent cross-linked film swollen by additional monomers and a photo radical initiator is irradiated area-selectively using the 3D printer. Polymerization progresses only in the irradiated areas, enabling precise control over material heterogeneity. Through exploring various combinations of parent film and monomers, we demonstrated some unique functions, such as shape morphing and arbitrary gel patterning within the film. This practical and versatile technique has the potential for various applications in materials science and engineering.
