Notice on the Recommendation of the Fourth NFSOC Higher Education Teaching Achievement Plan

All relevant units:
The original deadline for the recommendation of the fourth NFSOC Higher Education Teaching Achievement Plan was September 30th. At the request of each unit, the recommendation work for the "Fourth NFSOC Higher Education Teaching Achievement Plan" for 2024 has been postponed until October 31st, as decided by the evaluation group of the society. Sincerely welcome all units to actively apply!
Recommended object
The NFSOC Higher Education Teaching Achievement Program is awarded to teaching workers or educational managers who have engaged in teaching practice, teaching management, educational research, and educational management in the field of non-ferrous metals in China, and have achieved outstanding results and made outstanding contributions.
1. Adhere to laws and regulations, love their job and be dedicated, possess good moral character and academic atmosphere.
2. Directly undertake higher education teaching work in the field of non-ferrous metals (including teaching management, teaching research, and teaching assistance work), and have more than three years of experience in higher education teaching work.
3. Directly participate in the entire process of designing, demonstrating, researching, and implementing the results, and make major contributions.
4. The completion time of teaching achievements shall not be less than three years, which shall conform to the Party's educational principles and policies, and shall be tested by at least two years of practice, with progressiveness, demonstration and promotion. The starting time for practical testing is calculated from the implementation of the education and teaching plan, excluding the time for plan design, demonstration, and formulation.
5. The same person can only be the completion person of one recommended project in the same year.
6. The recommended project needs to undergo teaching achievement appraisal organized by the society or third-party organization, and provide relevant appraisal materials.

Recommended channels and quotas
According to the "Measures for Rewarding Higher Education Teaching Achievements of the China Nonferrous Metals Society (Trial)", NFSOC rewards higher education teaching achievements through individual and unit recommendations. The recommended method is:
1. Recommended by one academician, the same academician can only recommend two projects;
2. Recommended by one Changjiang scholar and one professor, each Changjiang scholar/professor can only recommend two projects;
3. Recommended by association directors and group member units, association branches, and local non-ferrous metal associations, with no more than 3 projects.

Recommended material requirements
(1) Recommended materials
1. One set of recommended books. The main text of the recommendation book and its attachments (supporting materials for the relevant content in the recommendation book) should be bound together in a booklet, without attaching a separate cover. The electronic and written versions of the recommendation book should be consistent.
Please refer to Attachment 3 for the electronic version of the recommendation letter. Text can be printed instead of the signature or seal required in the electronic version. The electronic version must be an editable Word document, including the attached materials.
2. One set of project brief information table (see Attachment 2), recommended reward projects need to undergo teaching achievement evaluation organized by third-party organizations, and provide a complete set of relevant evaluation materials. Send the electronic version to the designated email address.
3. Expert recusal application form (see Attachment 4), send electronic and paper versions.
4. Please send an electronic version of the recommended project information summary table (see Attachment 1).
(2) Requirements for filling out recommendation letters
The recommendation letter is the main basis for the evaluation of the NFSOC Higher Education Teaching Achievement Plan. Please carefully read the requirements for filling out the recommendation letter and fill in each item carefully according to the requirements. Recommendation letters should be complete, truthful, and reliable, with accurate and objective textual descriptions.
(3) The following items are not recommended
1. For disputes related to intellectual property rights, completion units, personnel, etc. that are currently in litigation, arbitration, administrative adjudication, or administrative reconsideration procedures, it is not recommended until the dispute is resolved.
2. If it is required by laws and administrative regulations to obtain relevant licenses, it is not recommended to do so before obtaining approval from the competent administrative authority.
3. If there are Taiwan residents among the project completers, they must provide a copy of their Taiwan resident ID card, a transcript of their registered residence registration or a copy of their household register, which must be notarized by a notary office in Taiwan.
If there are non Chinese citizens or Taiwanese residents with foreign nationality among the project completion personnel, they are not recommended.
5. The number of project completion personnel shall not exceed 6; Not recommended for exceeding the specified number of people.
6. Popular science papers, popular science newspapers and journals, popular science works written in foreign languages, textbooks for national education, training materials for practical technology, science fiction works, and popular science translation works are not recommended.
(4) Recommended projects with the following situations should submit corresponding written reports
If the person completing the task is unable to sign, a paper explanation should be submitted.
2. If the recommending unit has a request for recusal of the review experts for the recommended project, it should submit an expert recusal report, detailing the reasons for the recusal request, and fill out the 'recusal expert application form'.

Recommended material submission and review schedule
Please submit written recommendation materials to the Secretariat of the China Nonferrous Metals Society before October 31, 2024, and send the electronic version of the document to the designated email address of the Secretariat, named "Higher Education Teaching Achievement Plan+Unit Name". Please refer to the "Contact Information" for the submission email and address. Please review the confidential recommendation materials in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, and submit a confidentiality review certificate.
