The first official SkyDrive app for tablets is here. But is is for iOS devices. Microsoft has released, so it is official, new SkyDrive app for iPad. It is not a new release. It is an update to the already available SkyDrive app for iPhone. In the new version of this app (ver 2.0) the support is extended to iPad. Official SkyDrive app for iPad even supports the new iPad with Retina display.
If you are new to SkyDrive, it is an online cloud storage from Microsoft. Free storage space on the SkyDrive is limited to 7 GB. Earlier it was 5 GB. Microsoft also says that they have made many changes to the SkyDrive to ensure better support for mobile devices. Also for running SkyDrive users, Microsoft is providing 25GB free storage space upgrade. It is including the already availing 7 GB. Users need to access their SkyDrive account immediately to make the upgrade.
So what about SkyDrive for iOS devices. With SkyDrive app installed on your iOS device you can access, manage and share your SkyDrive cloud storage files on the go. With SkyDrive on iOS you can upload multiple images or videos from your phone or tablet to SkyDrive. It also allows you to manage your files. You can delete, create, rename of move folders. SkyDrive on iOS allows you to access all your files on the SkyDrive. It includes the files shared with you and also you can view recently accessed documents too.
