How can I upload multiple files from my mobile phone to google drive?

    • http://weboftech.com/ Praseetha EV

Hi, Welcome. As far as I know batch uploading is not supported with the current version

    • tsd2626

I was able to upload multiple images to Google Drive on Gingerbread and ICS using the Gallery -> Share with Google Drive.

    • David

As tsd2626 said, you can do it from the Gallery. I did it in Android 2.3.4 (gingerbread). Go into your camera app and, pick menu and Gallery is in the lower right. (Or browse your apps to get to the Gallery app) Once in Gallery, touch and hold each picture you want to upload to Google Drive. If you just touch it, it will open the picture. If you touch and hold, it will select the picture, but not open it. Do this for as many pictures as you want to share. Alternatively, pick menu when in Gallery and that will allow you to quickly touch each picture/video you want to shrae. If you want to share *all* pictures and videos, pick menu when in Gallery and pick “Select All” in the upper left.

After selecting the pictures/videos you want to upload to Google Drive, pick menu and then pick Share in the lower left and pick “Drive” from the list. This will bring up the Drive application with all your files in a list. You can pick which Google account to use and then pick OK to upload the files.

how to upload a file to a particular folder in android app??? I’ve created the folder using the web version …

    • http://weboftech.com/ Praseetha EV

      @Imad185
Hi, Prior to upload or create, first navigate to the specific folder in the app. The item created from the home screen will be placed in the root directory of your Drive.
      Thanks for the drop by.

      • Nhariton

it doesn’t work to me. I created a folder, navigated to it, and the file uploaded to root folder.

      • Joseph Thulin

I have the same issue. Even when I navigate to the folder then choose upload (or create), the file is placed in my root directory.

  • Gigel

I want to download something on the phone from Drive. How do I do that, and what folder does it go to?

    • http://weboftech.com/ Praseetha EV

      Hi Gigel, welcome to Weboftech.
Remember that Google Drive is a new born baby. Some features are yet to include or seems missing. Anyway on a rooted phone, you can use an app ES File Explorer to do the same. I’ve not checked it.

    • Marián Hrčka
